    Yeah, that one was odd. Cautionary tale, or the canary in the coalmine...now that there's billions to be made on it, clearly the grift will be in. Probably best to just smoke some weed as opposed to getting concentrated oils that you can't verify. Maybe buy CBD weed and make your own oils if you desire vape stuff. I know that it's a complicated process, but might be safer and more worth it in the long run.

    Making An Oral Suspension

    There are a few different ways to make an oral suspension. The two most common methods would be alcohol only, or alcohol and oil. I think you can use glycerine, and PEG, but they're expensive and more difficult to get right. Method number 1: Alcohol Most bros will tell you to use "grain alcohol" or everclear but I don't think there's a need for it. Cheap vodka or rum will do just fine. Pluses: Cheap and easy. Cons: Won't stay in solution at all, and will be more difficult to dose. Also, makes your breffs stink, like a hangover (depending on your dose). Method number 2: Oil I use olive oil, because I always have it around. You can also use MCT oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, etc. The heavier oils are likely to hold your product in suspension better than the lighter oils. Pluses: Keeps in suspension pretty well. Cons: Might be more difficult to get your product into solution without a solvent (like alcohol). Method number 3: Alcohol + Oil The best of both worlds? You have alcohol to get your product into solution and oil to suspend it. You can mix it in a 1:3 ratio (alcohol:oil). Not too boozy, and more than enough oil. I normally use a mortar and pestle to ensure the powders are ground up real well. Then I use the alcohol to make a solution out of the product. Then I add it to my oil. Voila. If it's real cold in your house/region, then you can warm your oil. A word about measurements: You're making a suspension because you: A- don't want to cap a few mg of a product B- want reliable dosing of your product C- want an easy dosing regimen So be sure about all of your measurements. You need to know what your target dosage is. Do you want 50mg of product per dose? 20mg? 100mg? You need to know the volume of your container in ml. If you don't know the volume of your desired container, you can measure it out. Fill it with water and use a measuring spoon, dropper, or some other tool to get a total volume. If you have a 50ml container, and you want a 1ml dosing, and you want 20mg/ml, follow these instructions: Method 1: Take 1g of product and make sure it's pulverized well. Mix it into 49ml* of alcohol. Voila. Method 2: Take 1g of product and make sure it's pulverized well. Mix it into 49ml* of oil. Voila. Method 3: Take 1g of product and make sure it's pulverized well. Mix it into solution using 12.5ml* of alcohol. Once it is well-mixed, pour it into your container with 36.5ml of oil. Mix well. Voila. *- 1g of product will use about 1ml of volume.

    I came back to powerlifting in late spring of '17, and haven't walked away since then. Since so many meets have fallen through, and since Juggernaut was such a good but hard program, I'm in a bad place physically, and mentally. So I'm out for the time being. Gonna fluff it up some, and do un-powerlifting things for a while.

    Went in and squatted today. Shit felt heavy until the final set. Worked up to 445 on a wing and a prayer. 445x6x3S My back has been sore since I walked into the joint, and it's certainly not better after this. Deadlift Worked up to 315. 315x6x1S because no. Also, I can't pull heavy on the same day I squat heavy. I'll have to flip-flop those days, or work some heavy deads in on a different day. Dead-stop leg press 10x3S Those sucked, but mainly because Larry had the stops set all the way on my asshole, so I had to improvise a stop and basically do "spoto" leg presses. Larry's legs are tiny, which is the secret to his amazing deadlift ROM. Palloff presses 3Sx10R Can't do upper back flexion exercises anymore, so I will have to work on stabilization exercises instead. Palloffs, planks, ab rollers. An update, since I haven't spoken or whined about it lately. My back. After about 2 weeks on muscle relaxers and tylenol, I came off both pretty much cold turkey (a mistake, I found, because I had headaches for the following 2 weeks). I haven't really experienced any pain of note since then. I mean, it never feels "good", per se, but I'm no longer incapacitated and in spasm 24x7. When I had escalating pain on the area, I was doing heavy cable crunches, and I think that is part of the trigger for the pain. So I'm no longer doing flexion exercises for my abs. Since the pain still hasn't gone away, I will likely ask for some more imaging when I go in for my physical in March. Speaking of physicals, I'm on berberine, RYR, and I've been cooking with Olive oil in an attempt to sort of balance out my lipids and blood sugar. I'm also trying to get 20 minutes on a bike in the evenings. I guess we'll see how that goes.

    I am returned from the dead. Still getting over a couple-day virus for my kids what knocked me on my ass. Sinuses and upper respiratory tract are still pretty savaged, but now my throat is not totally fucked, and my coughs aren't unintentional any longer. Went to the gym yesterday and was surprised by how shit everything felt. Also had a lovely conversation with one of the trainers about the toddlers who run the place. lol TOday, did the current standard second press day: Spoto's at 60%+ 240x6x4S DB Rows (skipped due to shitter break) NOTE: Single-ply TP is the fucking devil, and after you've used half a roll to clean your ass, you haven't saved any money Z-Press 30x20x2S -superset- Lat Pulldowns against a band I think it was: 120x8 120x8 120x8 110x10 Note: When I take the band off and do straight weight, it's cool to see how much stronger I am, now. Triceps Hell Over 140x20x2S Under 110x20x2S Hammer curls 40x10x4S Standing cable chest flyes 3 sets of 10 at 70 or 80 pounds Side delt raises 20x10x2S That is all.

    I have a cold. I went in to the gym because I needed to drop the bulk of my RCs that I wasn't using off to some unsuspecting buyer. While I was there, I decided to do my intended session as sets of 3 at the same weight, because I don't feel like making myself worse by doing 5 sets of 8 or 4 sets of 6 of deadlifts. Lift looked like this: Squat Worked up to 350 by 3s. 350x3x5S Deadlift Worked up to Adam's weight of 285 because I couldn't be bothered to go heavier. 285x3x5S Done. Sidenote: All kinds of odd things happening in the gym this year. The owner saw a bands and a mat on the floor at like 3PM and put some sadface rant on Instagram about how disrespectful the gym populace is. Then he proceeded to just whine about coming in at 3PM and not being able to get in his workout! Egads! and be disrespectful back (note: he had employees there all day long, from 5AM to 3PM. Why didn't those guys handle business?). All sorts of signs have popped up in the gym and they all essentially end with "don't be LAZY". Just weird, petulant petty shit. One of the non-gym-affiliated trainers asked us to keep it down because a bar was making too much noise WHILE DOING BB ROWS. The same trainer came in today, made a stankface at the music that the owner's wife put on, and sent one of her trainees to whine about the music*. Oh, single-fucking ply toilet paper. WTF? Spend the extra $10 per month, please. Gym nirvana is much less idealistic these days... *- we whined earlier when some super-white alternative shit came on
