So the bells thread seems dead and it seems pointless to put my personal workouts in there-especially since fuck those crazy 500 per day workouts. Y'all are crazy. I am feeling really good. I've been pushed into a low carb/keto 16:8 by my doctor. A single day in and my PP glucose is down over 20 (into the low 80s) and my waking fasting glucose is also in the low 80s, which is a change of almost 40. I think I'm going to keep hitting the kettlebell 3-4 days per week and hit the dumbbells 2 of those days with a kettlebell Tabata to close it out. I got 3.5 rounds of my 20-

Vitamin D Could Explain Why Autism Is Three Times More Common in Boys A deficiency in vitamin D on the mother’s side could explain why autism spectrum disorder is three times more common in boys, say Queensland Brain Institute researchers. In their latest study, Professor Darryl Eyles and Dr. Asad Ali found vitamin D deficiency during pregnancy caused an increase in testosterone in the developing brain of male rats. “The biological cause of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is unknown but we have shown that one of the many risk factors—low vitamin D in mothers—caus

  4. I think that's probably mostly broscience. The various esters do definitely impact the rate of release so AUC and stuff like that but once the steroid hormone is in circulation, the ester it came from should be largely irrelevant. I supposed there might be something to the idea of receptor saturation with high doses of short acting esters releasing so much of the parent steroid so quickly that the androgen receptors become saturated and start to downregulate.... Welcome to CS, BTW.

301.6 yesterday after a walk. I've gotten in several 18h fasts after having a hard time managing even 12 for a few weeks. I "ran" a mile in 14:26 today. I haven't run a mile that fast since high school. Feeling pretty good, overall. I have good and bad days like everyone else, but I'm not feeling consistently poor at the moment.

  6. Hard mental week for me. More stupid mind games fucking me up. I've let most mindfulness slip and that means shit is getting to me again. Because of the stress, I haven't worked out much, but I've maintained my 18h fasts, and kept it as keto as possible-though I have probably slipped into "low carb" a time or two this week. Not sure that's too important a detail (IOW: I'm not tripping on it). Weight this AM was 310.6. 40 pounds down since March-25 since June 16.. I'm starting to look pretty fucking sexy. Clothes fit me again. Actually, most shorts don't fit me any long

I didn't get a KB today...but I think I know where I can get one so I'm still thinking I can be part of this. I have, however, shaved a full 90s/mile off my jogging pace since this began which I am pretty pleased with....I actually am no longer in acute danger of being lapped by the Karens walking the same route.

  8. Kimbo, I can certainly believe that... there seems to be a real benefit to it from what I've experienced. Update to this thread: I had very busy second half of 2019 -- stuck to my new diet/training/supp regimen as long as I could but fell off the wagon again sometime in the Fall. Started back at it in Jan this year and surprisingly still had most of the conditioning that I had painfully re-gained earlier last year. After a sloppy 1 month hypocaloric HST routine followed by a sloppy 1 month UD2 routine, I'm finally back to a state that I consider ready for

New year, so maybe not a log so much as a spot to intermittently keep track of my progress, hopes and dreams. This is me now at ~230# I think I'd be happier 15lbs lighter but don't know for sure that I want to put in the effort diet-wise. Most of this was done with machines/cable and dumbells over the last six months after a three month COVID hiatus. I have literally not been under a bar in a year now. Current routine consists of 2-300kcal of cardio on an elliptical or, if I have the stomach for it, 50 flights of stairs on the stepmil

  11. Same here. Too many of the anti-mask arguments revolve around moving the goalposts, or otherwise showing that masks aren't 100% effective. We know they aren't 100% effective. We know that wearing a mask won't make you immune from contracting or spreading infection. We know that mask mandates alone aren't sufficient to stop the virus at this point. However, those seem to be the same few strawman arguments that the anti-mask crowd continues to use to prop up their argument. The reality is that this whole pandemic thing is a game of managing R0. New low BW of 294.3 today (post breakfast). Interesting to note that dietary compliance is at an all-time low in the evenings, but since adding kettlebell work back into the mix, I drop a couple pounds per week. Could exercise be the missing piece? While it was hot and the air was awful, I didn't force the issue so much, because I thought that since we've always seen so much evidence that exercise isn't the key to weight loss, so it's no big loss to my continued progress. It doesn't appear to be true, though-at least in my n=1 case. Adding in ~30 minutes of intense we

People who took acetaminophen rated activities like “bungee jumping off a tall bridge” and “speaking your mind about an unpopular issue in a meeting at work” as less risky than people who took a placebo, researchers found. Use of the drug also led people to take more risks in an experiment where they could earn rewards by inflating a virtual balloon on a computer: Sometimes they went too far and the balloon popped. “Acetamin

Been doing more running/walking than anything for the moment. Not feeling like pushing myself to the 500 swing mark lately. Stress levels, and weather are my big anti-intensity drivers for the moment. Yesterday, we actually had a heat index temperature that was in the + territory. Mostly, we have super-low RH%, so we occasionally see heat indexes that are less than the actual temp, but yesterday...40%@105, I think the HI was 110 or thereabouts. My RHR has dropped from the low 80’s to the high 50’s/low 60’s. These were a bear to get into the habit of doing, but now they are a simple and relatively quick way to keep my conditioning up. I do them in the garage after some morning coffee while watching the daily news. Instead of raising the weight I think I will try and do them 6 days a week from here on out.

Yeah, understood. We're snobbish suburbanites, and insist on SUVs as opposed to Minvans. Minivans are so passe. I bought this car based on the economics of it at the time, and I made some decisions that I shouldn't have. In fact, I should have driven my old Jetta into the ground before picking this one up. C'est la vie. This one is fully paid off, though, so I gotta keep it up and mechanically intact for my eldest child. I'll replace it with some white asshole SUV in a few years. Because you are what you eat. Wait, that came out wrong.

HIV-1, MAYV, EBOV and EBV replication were tenatoprazole sensitive while DENV, ZIKV and PV replication were resistant. Further testing employing HIV-1 as a model revealed its susceptibility to additional prazoles with inhibition generally correlating to the rate of pro-drug conversion to the active sulfenamide derivative. You need to shed 80-100lbs would be my guess....your apnea, dyslipidemia, NAFLD, HTN, diabetes will all likely be gone or significantly improved if your weight was much closer to 200 than 400lbs. PSMF will do it and relatively quickly if you can stick to it. You will need the full support of your wife and kids to some degree as well. Maybe give yourself a single cheat day per week to make it bearable, but you need to intervene dramatically in your metabolism at this point.

I'd just like to add that from using melatonin nightly for almost two decades straight, I've found the following: - taking on an empty stomach ~0.5-1 hr before trying to fall asleep (differentiating from 'before going to bed') is ideal -- no idea if the empty stomach benefit is an effect on absorption rate and/or extent though. - dependence builds quickly, so it's good to slowly titrate the dose up over time (I started at 0.3 mg, now I'm at 2.5-3 mg to achieve the same degree of effect) - for whatever reason, there appears to be wildly
