I found transdermal transference studies going both ways. When I read the actual data, it does seem to be fairly harmless (14% possible recovery of skin was washed pre-application). I'll have to consult Jamie, though, as she was the one freaking out about it. Perhaps if I show her the data then she'll come around. It's not like I'm naked all the time, but when we were intimate while I was using gel, she was being really weird about it.

You'd think she'd be appreciative of a little T boost lol.

Stop being weird about it. My kids and wife have shown no issues, and it's been 5 years or so. The risk is very low, yet non-zero. But zero risk just doesn't exist.

I was still sore from last session and still performed well so I'm getting there. I probably should start adding weight soon to one of the days.

Fuck incline barbell. Doesn't feel great. I'm gonna do it for a few weeks, though. Maybe I need to. I need to see if it becomes a useful movement for future reference.

Cable Long Row with rope attachment

70X15X3

Pulled to nipples for rear delts

Incline DB Curl

25X12X3 last set failure

Purdy good. Need to add volume to the pressing. The problem is, I can handle a lot more volume than the partners and they start throwing fits lol. I told them it's gotta happen.

That recovery session did the trick. Felt pretty good today. I based the weight I used for my banded squats on a 430 max or 340X8 of straight weight. I found that my bench is about 85% with the instability so I assumed the same for squat.

Well, my bench grip keeps moving in a little each week lol. Guess I'm just more comfortable with a close grip these days. No pec pain with a close grip (pinky on lines) and low bar touch with a quick J pattern. It works, whatever.

Moving in the right direction. Weight has gotten up to 190ish and stalled around there. I'm going to try to get up to 200 and compete at 198. If I can get my weight up more, I'd like to compete at 220 but looking at national level competitors in that class, I'll need a lot more muscle weight on me than what is practical in this time frame. Maybe next year.

You would need to tie an anvil between your legs to compete at 220 Blu....

Lol yea, you're right. I have made peace with staying natty/appropriate and healthy trt. So, I'm not sure what my limit is but likely it is not much heavier than I am now. The good news is I can gain another 10lbs and still easily make weight for the 198s. That gives me a lot of room for strength gains within my class.

My squats felt amazing today. My knees feel great, depth is good (I think), and butt wink is now pretty minimal if at all. I thank you all who have helped me figure it out.

Also, I mentioned in the chat, but I got a nicely paidjob offer for a pretty tough job. Rotating 12hr shifts. So, if my background check goes well, that should be staying soon. I will have to be very smart with my time to make this all work but my first priority will be getting our finances in order.

'Nother good session. Increased squat volume and RDL weight, and really everything went well other than my thumbs hurting like fuck from hooking the pulls. I really need these shits to toughen up.

Bamboo Squat

45X15

135X8

185X5

235X4

295X8X4 last set was RPE 9 and my execution was better. These are really something. I'll be glad to get back to straight weight next cycle but then I'll be ready to get back to these lol.

My quads have been working a lot more. It's a good feeling when they feel crampy and dead, because it always used to be my posterior chain.

More curls, rear delt raises, side raises, pushups, and calf raises at home while watching The Boys. Good show so far. It was going to be the title of my home-made porno, but whatever.

Also, I might be kicked out of my gym tomorrow. Gonna go join he YMCA. We can't afford it, but we're going to have to make it work.

The fucks changed gym rules again. No lifting over 300lbs. No bands allowed. No equipment allowed. No weighted chins or dips allowed. Guy behind the counter came around as we were leaving and slapped the new rulebook on my chest and started talking but I tuned him out because my fight or flight kicked in. I let him finish, threw the book to him, asked him who, specifically, felt the need to approach me about rules that were not in the contract I signed. I'm not sure how the rest went, but I told him to have his boss call me tomorrow. Jamie said I was an asshole but I think I was good. I almost lost it, but this kid wasn't to blame for the stupid new rules.

Edited my last training post to reflect the actual training fatigue %. Not sure why I typed 5%. Kim wants me at 30% weekly and I used 15% on some movements and 10% on others. I was/am shooting to start at RPE 8 and end at 9.5 but sometimes I can only get to RPE 9 before I need to call it quits so that I don't go failing all the time. I pushed it for awhile to figure out where my failing points were and got a better idea. For my chest, I can't risk doing an RPE 10 by accident because my weakened scar tissue will rip easily. I'll just get close.

Anyways, the important note is the gameplan is weekly fatigue of 30% and I have built in deloads the way the 3 week waves are set up. Really trying to note everything so I can look back and be able to simplify my training for myself based on things that worked for me.

Basically the company that hired me contracts workers out to different factories or industrial work places. Kinda like a temp agency but the pay is good and the work is specialized. The work is to be a mechanic/maintenance guy for the robots/equipment. I'm not sure of the exact job title as I've heard 3 different ones, but industrial mechanic fits the bill. Pays $18/hr starting with $27/hr OT. Schedule is 12hr shifts in a 4 on/1 off/3 on/1 off rotation and they go back and forth from overnight to morning shifts after each day off. 6 days completely off at the end of each month. You can volunteer to work those days. So my pay increased $1 and the OT will be much higher. So I'll be making a bit more money. But, my assignment is in a very hot factory and I have to wear a hazmat suit all day. They warned that it's well over 100 degrees in the suit.

It's going to be difficult but I need to get making some money. Still waiting on my background check. They called today and said it was nearly done. There were some issues with my past employers no longer existing so they couldn't verify everything. Tomorrow I have a physical and will submit my drug test sample. I hope it's urine, because I just cut my hair short and I really don't want a shaved spot on my head. I think after this week, I should know my start date.

Pre-employment drug screens are not usually anything more sophisticated than a urine test for opiates, cocaine, cannabis, meth/amp, barbiturates and (strangely) PCP.

I've never understood why they don't include benzos....maybe too many people take them legitimately?

Most of the time, they take the piss, use a dipstick on it for reactivity, and if it pops, then they process it for more accurate results. I think most piss tests probably never get tested to a high degree. More trouble and money than they are worth.

Don't do 30% all the time. Ramp up, and be sure to deload. Also adjust RPE weekly.
